Vintage Design: Introduction (Pt. 1)

I want to invite everyone to join my fledgling company on its journey as we strive to design homes tailored to each client, showcasing the unique diversity and individuality of each person. All too often, builders are stuck on the cookie-cutter home.

Somewhere within the last seventy years, we have lost a bit of our individuality and have grown to expect and settle for homes that look just like everyone else's. 

Numerous companies are providing their clients with the so-called custom house, essentially a building that rearranges a few rooms to deceive the mind into believing the client owns a custom design. The disappointment arises when you walk into your neighbor's house, and it is essentially the same home with a bathroom moved, different cabinet types, or the garage moved to the other side.

This type of architecture is prevalent in suburban settings across the United States, whether in new or old developments. As a culture, we are led to believe that this is the only way to achieve a piece of the American Dream. Vintage Design strongly disagrees with that sentiment, and the company's goal is to demonstrate that we can build unique homes on a budget while injecting personality, historical precedent, and soul, thereby providing solutions to the nationwide housing shortage.
